FileVault stucks forever at encrypting
I'm on OS X Mountain Lion (10.8.4) on my MacBook Pro (mid 2012) and with a
750 GB HDD inside. I already have a working Windows 8 Partition with
BootCamp set up. Now for my Macintosh HD Partition I wanted to enable
FileVault 2.
After enabling FileVault 2, proceed through the steps from saving the key
to apple, restarting, logging back in, the encryption process starts but
doesn't move. It stucks pending and calculates the estimating time
starting with 1 Day and then counting higher and higher. 345, 346, 367
Days etc.
The Console shows this error:
10.08.13 23:40:56,390 System Preferences[313]: *** -[DMManager
conversionProgressForLogicalVolumeDisk:] returned an error; error: -69808
(-[SecurityFDEController _checkFDEEncryptionStatusTimer:])The only tip I
found online was this thread from Apple Support Community
https://discussions.apple.com/thread/3251117
It says I should move this file
/System/Library/UserEventPlugins/ServerTMShares.plugin out temporarily,
though in my system I can't find a file named ServerTMShares.plugin?
What can I do? Thanks!
